Joseph Tsai, born and raised in Taiwan, grew up in a small community rich in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture practices. Traditional Chinese Medicine is an integral part of the culture and daily life in Taiwan; it is not only used as medical treatment, but it is also part of the lifestyle. Growing up in such a privileged environment, he was saturated with such philosophies and he learned many skills as well.
Joseph is a Board-Certified acupuncturist, licensed in both New Jersey and New York. He is trained in different acupuncture techniques, such as Traditional Chinese Acupuncture, Master Tung’s Acupuncture, and Dr. Tan’s Balance Method Acupuncture. In order to further broaden his knowledge and his skills, Joseph continually seeks opportunities to learn from distinguished acupuncture masters.
Joseph believes in the philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, specifically the holistic principle, which considers that a person is made up of interdependent parts—body, soul, and spirit. If one part is not working properly, all the other parts will be affected. So, if an individual has an imbalance, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, it can negatively affect their overall health and well-being. Therefore, to achieve optimal health, one must gain a proper balance in life, which can be achieved through acupuncture.
Using these acupuncture techniques, he treats various types of medical ailments and alleviates both physical and emotional pain. Joseph has had much experience treating different kinds of illnesses and conditions using acupuncture. Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture is not only a part of his culture due to his background, but it is also a fundamental part of his daily living and practice today.
