Julia Cho, OTR/L has her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and has clinical experience in mental healthcare, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient rehabilitation. She is especially interested in hand therapy.Â
Julia believes the most fulfilling part of being an occupational therapist is when patients say that they can complete what they need to do on a daily basis and do the things they love to do.
Occupational therapy is a health profession that helps people across the lifespan participate in the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of everyday activities (occupations).
Patients might improve the quality of their lives by improving the efficiency of daily tasks or finding ways to complete tasks more quickly. For example, an OTR could work with someone who is struggling to return to work after an injury by recommending strategies such as coming up with alternative ways to complete tasks at work or setting goals for completing certain tasks in a given amount of time.
People are more than just patients at our clinic. They are people with stories, passions, and hopes for their future. Julia’s job as an occupational therapist is to help them regain function so they can continue pursuing their life goals.
In her free time, Julia’s hobbies include baking, traveling, and her maltipoo named Zoe.Â
