Dr. Taejoon “TJ” Han, PT, DPT received his Bachelor’s Degree from University of Georgia in Athens, GA and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from New York University. In addition to his training as a doctor of physical therapy, TJ is a certified Exercise Physiologist from the American College and Sports Medicine (ACSM-EP) and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). TJ was born in South Korea and came to the United States at 20 years old. He began his studies in the medical field majoring in Nursing, and later served in the South Korean Army as a medical soldier. He decided to change his career path to physical therapy due to his passion for optimizing patient well-being via rehabilitation. He applies his diverse experiences from different clinical settings, fitness training, and military service as a medic to SportsMed Physical Therapy. While TJ enjoys working with all of his patients, he is especially fulfilled by working with geriatric and pediatric populations. In his free time, TJ enjoys maintaining his fitness, and engages in many different sports and recreational activities, including fishing, skeet shooting, golfing, and hiking. He also likes listening to music, studying other languages, and learning other interesting new skills, like cooking, bartending, and playing musical instruments.
