Marta Profis, MS, OTR/L, CHT earned an Occupational Therapy degree from SUNY Downstate Medical center in 2011 with an emphasis in hand therapy; she is also a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT). She has been a practicing OT specializing in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation for 10 years.
Marta has comprehensive clinical experience in hand therapy, pediatrics, acute and subacute hospital, and skilled nursing facilities. She specializes in treating all upper extremity diagnosis, conservative management and post-op care, and is proficient in splint fabrication. She uses the latest treatment approaches including taping, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), manual therapy, modalities, and education. Marta stays up to date with current literature and attends continuing education courses throughout the year.
In order to provide the highest quality in patient care, Marta maintains close contact and open communication with doctors and surgeons, working together to create a custom tailored plan of care for each patient.
Marta’s goal is to provide the best quality of care for every patient she encounters, and to be able to create a custom plan of care for each individual person based on their own needs.
