Benefits of Acupuncture for Shoulder Pain

Acupuncture can be highly effective for shoulder pain—whether it’s caused by injury, overuse, poor posture, or chronic conditions such as frozen shoulder, rotator cuff issues, or arthritis

How Acupuncture Helps Shoulder Pain:

1. Reduces Inflammation

  • Stimulates the release of anti-inflammatory compounds and enhances blood flow to the affected area.

  • Helps calm swelling and irritation in the joint or surrounding tissue.

2. Relieves Muscle Tension

  • Needles relax tight muscles and fascia.

  • Great for trigger points or knots in the shoulder, upper back, and neck.

3. Eases Pain Signals

  • Acupuncture activates the body’s natural painkillers, including endorphins and enkephalins.

  • May disrupt pain pathways in the nervous system.

4. Improves Range of Motion

  • Less pain = more freedom to move.

  • Loosens stiff tissue and promotes better shoulder function over time.

Conditions It Can Help With:

  • Rotator cuff tears or strains

  • Frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis)

  • Bursitis or tendonitis

  • Shoulder impingement

  • Post-surgical or post-injury recovery

  • Repetitive strain from desk jobs, lifting, or sports
