“Dr. Paulina Reiban, DC completed her four-year chiropractic degree with honors at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Ontario, Canada. She also completed her four-year undergraduate degree with honors at Western University in Ontario, Canada and double majored in Physiology and Pharmacology/Toxicology.
After spending nearly ten years as a chiropractor in Ontario, Canada, Dr. Reiban brought her knowledge and experience to the team at SportsMed, Paramus. Early in her career, she developed an interest in myofascial techniques to treat muscular pain, and trained in massage therapy to further enhance her chiropractic treatments. In addition to treating neck and back pain, she also focuses on treating upper and lower extremities, including shoulders, knees, hands, and feet as part of her appreciation for overall musculoskeletal well-being. She uses a diverse set of tools and techniques including Kinesiotape, postural education, instrument assisted soft tissue therapy (IAST) and PNF stretching, to name a few.
Dr. Reiban loves helping her patients move and function better, and works closely with the physical therapists, aides, and other providers to give her patients the best care possible. Through her practice, she has helped children with developmental delays, young athletes, weekend warriors, expectant mothers, and seniors. She tailors her techniques to the needs of each individual and provides evidence-based plans of care to guide her patients through their recovery.
Dr. Reiban is fascinated by languages, multicultural cuisines and travel. This may be in part to her own diverse upbringing, being born and raised in Ecuador until the age of nine, and then immigrating to Canada with her family. It was there where she developed her career and met her first love and high school sweetheart. They now have a young son, dog, and three cats, aka Divas. When she’s not in the office, you’ll probably find Dr. Reiban at a local food festival or a hidden gem restaurant in your very own town!”
