At SportsMed, we specialize in Occupational Therapy and Hand Therapy, crucial interventions that aid patients in regaining their normal functioning state of daily living. Occupational Therapy isn’t only a remedy for hand-related conditions but also a path to improve Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s). It serves as an efficient therapeutic solution for patients who have suffered a stroke, brain injury, or are having difficulties navigating their home environment. In particular cases, our Occupational Therapists may use videos or pictures of the patient’s home to better understand and address their challenges, such as maneuvering around the house, accessing kitchen cabinets, or climbing stairs.

At SportsMed, our strength lies in the comprehensive and coordinated approach to patient care. Often, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy can overlap and complement each other. Occupational Therapy Specializations at SportsMed

Our Occupational Therapy specializations include treatment of all postoperative upper extremity/hand injuries, custom splinting & bracing for all hand/upper extremity injuries, arthritis, trigger finger, tennis/golfers elbow, carpal tunnel, and frozen shoulder. At SportsMed, we are dedicated to assisting our patients in regaining mobility and functionality.
