3 Ways To Avoid Plantar Fasciitis [VIDEO]

July 28, 2016

Plantar Fasciitis is an inflammation of the plantar fascia (under your heel bone). When you walk, you feel a sharp pain through your heel, and this pain can interfere with everyday life.

You may be wondering what Plantar Fasciitis is and how it affects the body. It’s actually an injury to the connective tissue that runs along the bottom of your foot from under your heel to just before your toes.

Because Plantar Fasciitis is an inflammatory condition of the heel that causes pain and swelling on the bottom of your foot, it can make things very difficult for people. This may also be referred to as Heel Spurs or Arch Pain Syndrome.

You might also notice an increase in swelling and stiffness after resting, and the inflammation may even spread up to your ankle as well. This problem can be extremely difficult for those who have diabetes or high blood pressure, as they’re more susceptible to injury than most people are.

What many don’t realize is that you should never go without getting professional treatment if you feel like you’re experiencing these symptoms.

If you have any questions, or want a consultation with a professional, feel free to call, or schedule an appointment online at any of our Bergen County or Passaic County offices in New Jersey.
