Jo Ann Marquez, OTR/L, CHT obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy in 1989, and now has over 30 years of experience in a variety of settings. She has specialized in hand therapy for 14 years, and has the distinguished honor of holding the title of Certified Hand Therapist (CHT), the highest accolade a hand specialist can have. Jo Ann is proficient in a variety of manual therapies, including soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization of the upper extremity, and fabrication of customized splits for the upper extremities. When working with patients, Jo Ann provides them with a variety of therapeutic exercises and activities, neuromuscular re-education, self care management, sensory re-education and integration techniques. She also provides home exercise programs that suit patients’ needs. Jo Ann loves that as a hand therapist, she helps her patients get better, achieve good outcomes, and once again become independent with their daily activities. In her free time, enjoys spending time with her children, reading, and gardening.
