Dr. Elvin Gail Luyun PT, DPT, GTS, CKTP
Dr. Elvin Luyun acquired his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy at the University of Perpetual Help DALTA System in 1997. He then pursued his knowledge in this field by obtaining a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy at the Utica College in 2012. Elvin is a dedicated and knowledgeable Physical Therapist who is very passionate about helping his patients with a variety of injuries. He is notorious for being compassionate and having a tireless work ethic.
Elvin is a certified Kinesiotaping Practioner, (CKTP), Graston Technique Specialist, (GTS), as well as TRX Qualified Suspension Trainer. He completed multiple trainings for various manual techniques such as; Mulligan, McKenzie Technique, Neurokinetic Technique, Vestibular Rehabilitation, Muscle Energy Technique and Lumbopelvic Dysfunction.
In addition to his expertise in his field, Elvin is an active member in his community as a Volunteer Coach and has participated in the Rutgers University S.A.F.E.T.Y. clinic, which was developed in pursuant to the Little League Law, (N.J.S.A. 2A62A-6 et. seq), and in accordance with the Minimum Standards for Volunteer Coaches Safety Orientation and Training Skills Programs (N.J.A.C. 5:52). In his spare time, Elvin could not be happier spending it with his lovely wife and children.
Dr. Harout Tchoulhakian, DC
Dr. Harout Tchoulhakian was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. He attended California State University, Northridge with a focus in cell biology. He went on to complete his Doctor of Chiropractic at the University of Bridgeport, College of Chiropractic. He completed his chiropractic education as an intern for the Health Science center in Bridgeport, CT. Following graduation, Dr. Harout worked at a private family practice in Minneapolis, MN focusing on pediatric care and sports injuries and rehab. While working with various sports programs, he treated many athletes in the community. Dr. Harout served on the Apple Valley Association board as the Health and Safety Director overseeing the athletic department in the Apple Valley community.
Dr. Harout then relocated to New Jersey and has been with SportsMed since early 2015. He enjoys working in a multidisciplinary practice that helps patients achieve the greatest response to care, while providing an optimal path to wellness. He takes an integrated approach, coordinating and communicating with various healthcare specialists to provide comprehensive patient-centered care. Implementing the latest research in his approach to clinical care, he utilizes several treatment methods including, but not limited to, gentle chiropractic adjustments, flexion-distraction, various soft tissue techniques and therapeutic exercises. Dr. Harout’s areas of clinical expertise include sports and spinal injuries, sciatica, disc herniation, spinal stenosis, degenerative arthritis, knee and shoulder conditions/injuries.
Outside of the office, Dr. Harout enjoys spending time with his wife, Tamar, volunteering for various recreational youth programs and traveling. To stay active, he regularly hikes, snowboards, and plays basketball and tennis. As a committed and passionate athlete, he coaches many basketball and soccer youth leagues. He is bilingual in both Armenian and English.
Sungsim Yun is National Board-Certified Acupuncturist by NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine). She also holds a certification in Clean Needle Techniques from the CCAOM (Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine). She received her Master of Science degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (M.S.O.M) from South Baylor University in California. She is licensed in both New Jersey and California and nationally certified in Chinese herbal medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking in the woods to get more in touch with her environment.
