November 2016 Success Stories
Elizabeth Tooman was referred to SportsMed Physical Therapy in Fair Lawn, New Jersey by her Orthopedic Surgeon, after fracturing her left shoulder. She has been consistent in participating in her physical therapy sessions and has shown great improvement.
Elizabeth has utilized our courtesy transportation service to assure she makes it to therapy. While in physical therapy, our therapists focused their efforts on regaining Elizabeth’s full strength and range of motion in her shoulder. We thank Elizabeth for trusting our staff at SportsMed Physical Therapy, to assist her, on her road to recovery! We wish her well, as she graduates from our care.
Carmen Nieves came to SportsMed Physical Therapy in Hohokus, NJ after she endured injuries from a car accident while she was on vacation in Puerto Rico. She entrusted her road to recovery with SportsMed Physical Therapy.
Carmen went to us for both her preoperative and postoperative physical therapy for her right hip. Our efforts were focused on regaining full range of motion, pain relief and decreasing of any swelling. Her dedication to her treatment plan and with the help of the SportsMed Physical Therapy team, Carmen graduates today from physical therapy. We wish all her all the best!
Douglas Fernandez has been coming to SportsMed Physical Therapy in Fair Lawn, New Jersey for his right shoulder. After having right shoulder arthroscopic surgery, he has been working alongside Physical Therapist through his road to recovery.
His treatment plan included various upper extremity exercises, rehab modalities, and manual therapy. Douglas has been participating in his therapy sessions three times a week and has shown great dedication to his treatment plan.

awn staff shows through his big personality and smile that spreads through our office. We will be graduating Douglas soon, to enjoy his pain free shoulder!
Pushpa was referred to SportsMed Physical Therapy of Glen Rock, NJ by her internal medicine doctor, because of severe right shoulder pain. Pushpa utilized our courtesy transportation service to come to her physical therapy visits three times a week.
She dedicated herself to the therapist’s treatment plan and was eager to get better. Pushpa worked through various upper extremity exercises and stretches to get her shoulder back in shape.
She is sad to leave us but has so much gratitude to our SportsMed of Glen Rock, NJ team. Best of luck Pushpa!
