Elbow

Physical therapy is quite possibly one of the best treatments when it comes to elbow pain because it helps to provide you with the pain relief you need as well as showing you how you can prevent pain from occurring again in the future.

How It Works

physical_therapy_elbow_4Physical therapy for elbow pain focuses on promoting tendon healing, restoring normal range of motion, and building muscle strength and endurance.

Physical therapy helps you to promote tendon healing while also restoring the full and normal range of motion. On top of this, it also helps to build strength, muscle strength and even endurance. Our therapists will work with you to make sure that you are completely comfortable with every aspect of your treatment as well as providing you with a full and initial evaluation. On top of this we will also ask questions that will help us to understand what the problem is as well as what we can do to stop it from getting any worse. If your elbow pain is the result of a trauma, our therapists may work with your doctor to make sure that the chosen course of action is the best one to take.

Your Personal Plan

When you have been approved, we will then work with you to make sure that the pain is relieved as much as possible. We may even give you some exercises to do at home, as this will help to increase your strength, flexibility and stability all-round.

  • Ice/Heat Applications
  • Electrical Stimulation
  • Ultrasound
  • Massage Therapy

Our physical therapy sessions are normally under an hour but in some instances they can be significantly less. You may also do different exercises in your different sessions, but this depends on the severity of your problem and the treatment required.
